Sell software with licence keys your app can check
Every sale makes a key in your own format. Your app checks it through the API or the public check page, and you decide how many devices it covers and for how long.

Keys made for every sale
Choose a key format such as RELAY-XXXXX-XXXXX and each paid order gets a fresh key, kept encrypted and shown only to the buyer and to you.
- Activations per key: one device, a household or a studio
- Keys that work for a number of days, or for good
- Different seats and terms per variant
Checked by your software
Your app asks whether a key is real and live, and gets back its status, its devices and the edition it was bought as. Buyers can check a key themselves on a public page.
- A licence check in the developer reference
- Devices counted and named, released when a buyer moves
- What the buyer paid, and the variant they chose
Managed from one list
Every key with its product, buyer and devices. Raise a buyer’s seats, revoke a key after a refund, or reinstate it.
- A subscription’s key follows its subscription
- Keys suspended while a payment is disputed
- Webhooks when a key is issued or revoked
In the help
- Selling licence keys: How keys are made, how many devices they allow, and their limits.
- Verify a licence: Checking whether a licence key is real and live, what the answer means, and how devices are counted.
- Licences: Every key you’ve issued, its seats and activations, and revoking it.
- Variants: Selling tiers, seat counts or editions, each with its own price, stock and what it delivers.
Questions
Does my app need an API key to check a licence?
No. The licence check is public and answers only for the key it is given, so your app can call it from the user’s device.
Can a licence renew?
Yes. Sell it as a subscription with a licence key: the key keeps working while the subscription is paid, and stops when it ends.
